Pakistan is one of only three countries in the world where polio is still endemic. International Medical Corps are supporting the Government of Pakistan to eradicate the disease through a major vaccination campaign in some of the most unstable and difficult areas of the country, along the borders with Afghanistan.

An effective vaccination campaign doesn't just mean injections. We use the opportunity to vaccinate against other diseases, such as measles, whilst also running community education and training sessions on topics like handwashing, hygiene and HIV/AIDs prevention.
